Note: the applicant under this program is not required to certify sufficient knowledge of Bulgarian language. Further, during the term of residence, the investor is not bound to stay within Bulgaria for more than 183 days per year.
Application fee for permanent residency: BGN 1,010 (approximately EUR 510)
Application fee for citizenship: BGN 1,100 (approximately EUR 550)

Initial Investment of at least BGN 1,000,000 for the first time
After becoming a permanent resident, increase the investment on the same legal terms by another BGN 1,000,000
The initial investment of BGN 1,000,000 and the increase of investment by another BGN 1,000,000 may be done by obtaining:
Shares of Bulgarian commerce companies, traded on a regulated Bulgarian market
Bonds and treasury bills, as well as derivative instruments thereof, issued by the State or the municipalities, with at least six (6) months to one (1) year maturity
Property on a separate part of the possessions of a Bulgarian commerce company, with more than 50% state or municipality property of the capital pursuant to the Bulgarian Privatization and Post-Privatization act
Quotas or shares of the capital of a Bulgarian commerce company, property of the State or municipality, pursuant to the Bulgarian Privatization and Post-privatization act
